Hi Mandee again! so I can use a list to help me ask all of my friends on my personal page to move over to the Socks for Horses! page. This is just one example of my lack of knowledge about FB. I created my personal page and a fan page and I'm not sure in what order, but most everyone became friends of mine on my personal page. Hey, I love a good friend regardless of where they friend me, but I suppose I should get it right. On the other hand, another marketing friend told me to leave it all alone. But that is another question I suppose relative to rules and regs, per FB.

Thank you for all of your help.

I haven't used Twitter because I doubt I have something to offer everyday that will be meaningful to followers. I often find myself even behind on FB when it comes to reading everyone's posts, but I never leave messages unanswered. That would be rude. I also run a business that keeps all hands full and juggling and so wonder if I would spend more time in this social media that I would fulfilling the needs of my customers and their horses. Still, I know its important for people to know my company is out there and providing real solutions for equine legs. Aside of all of this, it's terrifying. I know nothing about Twitter and find myself reading your posts as though I were on another planet. lol! I think using social media is about having the ability to introduce myself, my company but at the same time, get to know what is going on in the equine community that I am a part of. How do you take the fear out of Tweeting? Thanks Mandee!

Comment on Facebook Friend Requests: How Do I Know You? by Raymond

Hi Mandee. Has something changed lately on FB regarding "Friend Requests"? Formerly you could hit the "friend request" and a space would be provided for a personal message. I would often tell them why I wanted to be their friend, what I liked about a comment they made or how I found out about them, but now you hit the button and the request goes off with out any to send a message in the same request. Am I missing something? I now feel a little rude asking just because I am a southern gentleman and I don't want to just send out friend requests with out allowing those people to know something about me.

Yep! Lots of requests from people I don't know, and when I visit their profile, I'm blocked from seeing anything. How on earth do I know if I want to friend you if I can't see anything? Those hit the trash heap...

It's possible, I think. But, I also believe that some users bring the "spam" label upon themselves by posting JUST links and not having any kind of conversation with others. At a quick glance, it just appears that they're spamming for the benefits of themselves and don't care to talk to people.
